PEACE MEETING

Meetings led by Hilda's students are held four times a year to pray for world peace. The meetings are on Thursday evenings, 7-9 p.m. When we are able to meet in person, we meet at Union Theological Seminary, 3041 Broadway at 121st Street in Manhattan. We are currently meeting on Zoom. Check our calendar and subscribe to receive news updates and links for Zoom events.

The next Peace Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025, 7–9 pm with Rita Heap. Save the date!

ANNUAL MEMORIAL CELEBRATIONS

We hope that you will be able to join us for two yearly celebrations of Hilda’s Life: her birthday in April and a celebration of her Mahasamadhi (day of passing over) in January. Check our calendar and subscribe to receive news updates and links for Zoom events.

The next Birthday celebration is Thursday, April 10, 2025, 7-9 p.m. on Zoom. We will keep you updated with the details.

And Sunday, April 13, 2025, in person, Skanda Puja starting at 1 p.m. at the Hindu Temple in Queens, NY, with music and sharing from 2-4 p.m.

The School of Environmental and Vocational Arts (SEVA) is a nonprofit institution located in upstate New York, the educational extension of the Seva Foundation. Hilda was the creative force behind the school, which was organized to demonstrate and teach living harmoniously with the earth and with each other.

In the spirit of its acronym, SEVA, which is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service, each year we offer classes and workshops that we believe will interest and benefit both the local community and its extended national and international community. It is primarily a weekend school and offers classes from April through November.

Help celebrate Hilda Charlton’s 119th Birthday with music, stories, prayer and meditation. There will be a Skanda Puja at 1 p.m. in the main temple. Following the Puja, there will be music and sharing from 2-4 p.m.
