THE TEACHINGS OF HILDA CHARLTON

In the 1930s, the young Hilda Charlton wrote:

In the evening, after meditating and preparing myself, Master Hilarion’s presence was felt in the room and he began: “Daughter, we your guides are planning to dictate to you some practical lessons of life to be published under the title The Golden Quest…. [Your] thoughts must be like darts of light penetrating to the very heart of the mind. Do not bring your own personality into it. Simply state the truth, for there is a vibration in every word that will go to the heart of the reader to lodge there and blossom into a flower of truth.”

And so began publication of the vital, illuminating teachings of Hilda Charlton, teachings that have deeply touched and inspired thousands of spiritual seekers. During a lifetime of teaching, the last twenty-three years of which took place in New York City, she taught the importance of unconditional love, giving and forgiving, and constant remembrance of God. She stressed the fundamental unity of the world’s religions – that all are pathways to the one God.

A new publications group, Golden Quest, was formed to bring Hilda’s inspiration into print and on to tape—seven books of her teachings and more than 300 recordings of classes she gave in New York City at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. All income is used only for this purpose.

The books and recordings comprise a body of exceedingly practical lessons on living a life in God. The teachings include instructions for prayer and meditation, guidance on successfully treading the spiritual path, an explanation of the dep secrets of the divine heart, and encouragement and advice on meeting the tribulations of the present day to bring for the Age of Truth.
